The Children's Trauma Institute is an innovative collaboration between the New York City Administration for Children's Services and the New York University School of Medicine to use trauma-related knowledge in child welfare settings to improve outcomes for children and families. We are currently recruiting for two bilingual Spanish/English clinicians to deliver an evidence-based mental health treatment for mothers in preventive services with histories of trauma/PTSD. Clinicians must be comfortable working in the field/community and traveling via public transportation.  Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
•    delivering manualized mental health intervention in child welfare settings;
•    conducting assessments;
•    coordinating intervention delivery with staff from ACS and contract agencies;
•    providing technical assistance and training to staff from ACS and contract agencies;
•    assisting with project management and organization;
•    assisting with database management and data analysis; and
•    assisting with papers and presentations.


Candidates must be license-eligible (PhD or PsyD) and have a limited permit (supervision for licensure is provided). Knowledge of trauma and child welfare is required. Experience with research, project management, and collection of research assessments is desired. Flexibility around work hours, and the ability to work some evenings, is preferred. The candidate should possess strong interpersonal skills, good problem-solving abilities, and knowledge of the mental health and child welfare systems. Bilingual (English-Spanish) candidates will get strong preference. Database management and strong computer and administrative skills are highly desirable. Salary is commensurate with experience.
