The University of Texas Health Science Center
The University of Texas Health Science Center seeks to fill a Clinical Social Worker position in the Trauma and Grief Center for Youth housed within the Department of Psychiatry. This 40-hour per week appointment primarily involves implementing evidence-based assessment and novel interventions for bereaved youth, ages 7 to 17, including youth who may have a history of other traumas. This person will also be involved in the training and dissemination of these practices nationally as part of a newly established Childhood Bereavement Resource Center (CBRC), a Category II Treatment and Service Adaptation Center of the National Child Traumatic Stress Network. The position requires close collaboration with treatment developers to support monitoring of fidelity, refinement of interventions, and participation in the training and supervision of students, staff, and community clinicians from social work and other disciplines.
