Trauma Response Licensed Mental Health Clinician

Join our innovative practice.  Our team of dedicated clinicians provides meaningful and impactful counseling to families navigating the challenges of a recent traumatic event.


Established in 2004, ChildSavers’ Trauma Response program is Virginia’s only program devoted to immediate response and preventative mental health counseling for families who have experienced trauma.  This work is possible because of our qualified, talented, dedicated, and diverse team of licensed mental health clinicians.  Using evidence-based interventions we offer preventative mental health counseling to families in the wake of trauma.  Provide youth and families trauma-informed outpatient counseling.  Located in Historic Churchill our beautiful facility offers creative opportunities for clinical intervention including play therapy space, sand tray, and art interventions. Work closely with Richmond Police Department, VCU Health Systems and other partners to provide psychological first aid at the scene of traumatic events in Richmond, VA.

Qualifications: 

We invite all Master's level clinicians who currently hold a Virginia clinical license (LCSW, LMFT, LCP or LPC) to apply. Must possess a passion for working with and an ability to connect with families that have diverse backgrounds. Previous clinical work with children and families is essential. Excellent team work skills is also critical for his position. This position requires providing outpatient counseling as well as outreach and training opportunities to community partners.
