While the organization is responsible for implementing and sustaining change, true transformation requires leadership buy-in, commitment of time and resources, and meaningful guidance. The coach's role is to support lasting organizational change by facilitating a relational and collaborative process from the initial exploration through the identification of strategies that address areas of growth. An NCTSN TIOA Coach does this by providing the following:

  • Tailored Support: Coaches provide personalized assistance, addressing specific organizational needs and challenges to tailor the TIOA implementation according to the organization's unique context.
  • Expertise: Coaches bring specialized knowledge and experience not only in TIOA implementation but also in their respective professional domains.
  • Problem-solving: Coaches aid in identifying and addressing obstacles, providing strategies, and support to overcome challenges encountered during the implementation process.
  • Accountability: Coaches establish structured milestones and check-ins to ensure organizations remain committed and focused on their TIOA-driven goals throughout the process.
  • Access to Additional Resources: Coaches provide access to a wealth of supplementary tools, resources, and connections that support the TIOA process.
  • Ongoing Learning: Coaches foster an environment where TIOA implementation team members acquire new skills, gain insights, and expand their expertise through engagement with the TIOA process and the coach's guidance.
  • Outside Perspective: Coaches provide an external perspective that offers impartial insights and the identification of overlooked areas, enriching organizational strategies and fostering innovative thinking.
